The BIG BAND JAZZ MACHINE
One of the most exciting large jazz orchestras in Southern California, The Big Band Jazz Machine, led by Ira B. Liss, is dedicated to the “new” big band tradition.
Recognized as "The Best Big Band in San Diego" by The San Diego Music Awards, it has been a very popular fixture in the Southern California music scene since its founding in February 1979.

Unexpected Guests
The Ira B. Liss Big Band Jazz Machine is excited to announce a new concept album called Unexpected Guests, in collaboration with composer/producer Dan Radlauer. This album pairs unexpected artists and instruments with the classic 17 piece Big Band.
The first single off the album features Country Super Star and 22 time Grammy winner Vince Gill. (Vince Gill appears courtesy of MCA-Nashville.)
Accompanying the single is a mini-documentary of the recording session with Vince singing live in the studio with the full band, as well as interviews with Vince, Dan and Ira.
